About Us

Through the Historical League our members and guests:

  • Tour historic sites, some of which are old, and (surprise!) some are new (showing history in the making)
  • Sponsor the Historymakers program highlighting diverse contributors to the dynamic fabric of Arizona
  • Support National History Day–involving students and teachers in creative projects, regional and national competitions, showcasing a historical theme
  • Attend monthly meetings (September-May) with outstanding guest speakers
  • Sponsor special projects for the Arizona Heritage Center

National History Day

Involving the young in the excitement of history! The National History Day program engages students and teachers in creating projects that make history come alive. The projects are part of regional competitions, and some go on to nationals. We provide judges and administrative support (including pizza parties!) and travel grants for the winners.

Upcoming Events

Immersing ourselves in history. Join members and guests at historic sites or places where history is being made today. Hear speakers from universities, culture, media, the arts–if it’s of interest and fun, we’re all over it.

Arizona Historymakers are men and women who have distinguished themselves with noted achievements in such diverse areas as the arts, athletics, communications, community service, education and entertainment, and have maintained their ties to Arizona.

Join/Renew/Contribute

Be an Active member if you can, participating as your schedule allows. Or be an Inactive (but supportive member) contributing financially and staying in touch with the Historical League’s programs and activities. Either way you celebrate history!
