Historymakers

Historical League’s Arizona Historymakers™

Arizona Historymakers™ are men and women who have distinguished themselves with noted achievements in such diverse areas as the arts, athletics, communications, community service, education and entertainment, and who have maintained their ties to Arizona.

Arizona Historymakers™ 1992-2023 Oral Histories

Sponsored by the Historical League since 1992, Arizona Historymakers™ honors outstanding Arizonans who have made significant impacts in our community and state. Celebration events are held to recognize them. We preserve their life stories in oral histories housed at the Arizona Historical Society’s archives and library at the Arizona Heritage Center in Papago Park, Tempe.

Be inspired by these Historymakers and their stories of dedication and persistence in the face of daunting obstacles.
